Financial Report
2016-17 SCCS Education Foundation
Thanks to the generous support of the Panther family, the Foundation has a total of $7,908,784 in assets and has an unrestricted fund that provides the necessary support to SCCS for on-going operating expenses as well as for special expenditures not covered by the operating or capital budgets. One of the priorities for the Foundation going forward is to continue to grow these unrestricted funds to allow for the most flexibility possible when providing financial assistance to SCCS. A second priority is to increase the principle in the Foundation’s Investing in Educators Fund which was newly established in 2016.
The SCCS Education Foundation distributed over $354,000 to SCCS in the past year without invading the capital investment. Each year, Foundation funds are used to support the projects and programs necessary to advance the mission of SCCS which include: tuition assistance, scholarships, teacher enrichment, and capital improvements. The Foundation is diligent in assuring that any distributions from restricted funds are made in accordance with the donor’s intent.
