CLASS OF 2010 GRADUATION
St. Mary Central Catholic High School’s Honor Assembly was on Thursday, June 3rd, followed by the Baccalaureate Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Church and the Graduation Ceremony at the State Theater on Sunday.
The Class of 2010 continued the SCCS tradition of success with an amazingly accomplished student body. This year SCCS had 50 students who received a total 415 hours of college credit at BGSU through the best PSEOP program in the area.
The total amount of scholarships offered to the Class of 2010 is $2,121,254 and they will be accepting $1,055,254, a mind boggling number for such a small class of students. Special awards presented to the Senior class include:
The Zierolf Award
Presented yearly at the Honors Assembly to an outstanding student/athlete in the Senior Class who excels athletically, academically, and serves the school with leadership and citizenship. Only those students with a “B” average or higher and ranking in the upper 1/3 of the graduating class are considered for this award by Faculty Selection Committee. This year’s Zierolf Award was presented to Michael Gallagher.
The John Tomich Memorial Award
Presented to a senior who has displayed qualities of dependability, cooperation, support, along with exemplary attendance and behavior. Jude Guerra is the recipient of this award which is given in memory of John Tomich, who was a student at St. Mary Central Catholic High School when he passed away in 1978.

The Presidential Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement
